Wilton Jackson is a news/sports reporter and adjunct professor. Jackson previously worked as a breaking news reporter and trending reporter for The Clarion Ledger, a Gannett newspaper that is part of the USA TODAY Network.
Jackson taught as an adjunct professor at Jackson State University and at the University of Memphis (online).
Jackson received his Master's degree in mass communication with an emphasis in news and sports reporting (broadcast, print, online, digital) from Louisiana State University in May 2019. He received his Bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism with a minor in Spanish from the University of Southern Mississippi in May 2015.
Some of Wilton's previous experience includes WSB-TV (CMG Atlanta), HBCU GameDay, ESPN, USA TODAY, HubCity Spokes (Scripps Howard Intern), WAFB-TV and the Louisiana High School Coaches Association (LHSCA), to name a few. He has also freelanced for various digital, online sports platforms.
